Quality Control Program

General
The Quality Control Program (QCP), offered by Instrumentation Laboratory for Hemostasis and Bloodgas, is an external Quality Control system. The program does not replace the internal Quality Control performed by the laboratory, but supports and enhances the daily routine interlaboratory QC.

The program accepts and processes and saves interlaboratory QC-data from most clinical analysers, IL and non-IL instruments, divided in instrumentgroups using the same reagent. The emphasis is to provide meaningful, comprehensive and easy to follow statiscal comparisons to each group each month.

Data Entry
Data is submitted monthly on "QCP Web", an easy to understand web interface for data input. In addition other formats are available, when submitting data on the net is not possible.

Monthly Elaboration
Each month each subscriber receives a set of reports comparing the laboratory's data for the month with the peer groups within a set of control plasma’s. To facilitate review and evaluation the data is also graphically presented.
